The standing desk's shelves can be quickly and easily adjusted to the perfect height for any adult or teenager. This allows every member of the family to use the standing desk with a setup tailored to them.
Benefits of standing
We are not built to sit all day. The NHS states on their website that 'there is increasing evidence that sitting down too much can be a risk to your health.' According to the Office Ergonomics Research Committee (OERC) standing desks also improve lower back and neck pain, as well as enhancing you posture. Furethermore, we find that standing up brings extra energy to your work or conference calls.
Easily stored and reassembled
Within just a few minutes you can assemble or store away the standing desk. This is important because it means you can use it in multiple rooms of your house, unlike many other standing desks. The desk also stores flat allowing it to be stored under a bed.
Well made
The standing desk is made from high-quality 18mm sustainably sourced (PEFC certified) birch plywood and is professionally manufactured by a computer-controlled machine (CNC routing). The plywood isn't coated because we wanted to keep the natural look and not use products which can be harmful to the environment.
Flexible use
This standing desk makes sure that you will have a good posture both when you want to work standing up or sitting down. The shelves can be placed in any of the holes which allows you to use the standing desk in any way you want. A brilliant alternative way to use it is when sitting down with your computer on a shelf at your eye level as this stops you from being hunched over your laptop, therefore, reducing neck and backache.
Sizing
I have made sure that the standing desk fits on most standard desks, the 'footprint' of the standing desk is 35cm by 45cm. The top shelf fits a 16-inch laptop and the bottom shelf provides sufficient space for a large keyboard and mouse.
